Hi,
I am Lydia Bighouse,
Certified Sensitive Sleep Consultant
and Founder of
House of Sleep

Why am I a Sleep Consultant? Because eight years ago I was just like you: so confused on how to get my baby to sleep. After having our first child, I realized that while I loved him more than I ever could have imagined, I was losing my marbles due to lack of sleep. My degrees in Business Management and Economics taught me to research, so I researched (often in the middle of the night while I nursed my baby for the 100th time). I read social media posts, asked trusted friends and family for tips, bought books by doctors, and tested many theories…but my baby was still not sleeping. In fact, each week it seemed like our family was sleeping less than the week before! I finally found a Sleep Consultant who shared a few tricks that ended up making big differences. She made such an impact on our life that I was inspired to then work for her and help other families myself.

In 2018, I became a Certified Sensitive Sleep Consultant through the Institute of Sensitive Sleep, based in Australia. Over the next five years, I worked alongside a top Sleep Consultant in the United States. In 2024, I created my own business, House of Sleep. Today, I am ready to help you! I will listen to your family’s goals and values before I develop a personalized, multifaceted guide to implementing healthy sleep habits for your child. I will support you through your journey as you make changes to your child’s bedtime routine, nutrition, sleep environment, schedule, and more. We will work together to have your family become a well rested team enjoying life to its fullest.
